Students will be able to eat dinner provided by Asian Chili Spot with different attorneys and interact with them in a less professional setting to learn more about the attorneys’ life experiences and career journeys. Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be provided by Ithaca Hospitality.

Students will check in at the front desk. Coffee, tea, and pastries from Paris Baguette and fruit and juice from Wegmans will be provided. 

Opening Remarks from Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Michelle Whelan

Dean Michelle Whelan will give a short speech during breakfast to welcome students and attorneys to the second day of Academy. 

Cultural Differences in the Workplace

Attorneys will speak about their experiences in the workplace as Asian/South Asian/Middle Eastern individuals and discuss how to address cultural differences.

Mock Interviews

Students who signed up for the mock interview program will be interviewed by two different attorneys in two 30-minute sessions, with about 20 minutes allotted for the mock interview and 10 minutes allotted for feedback and questions. The mock interview schedule will be provided directly to the students. 

Networking Panel + Closing Remarks

This will be a follow-up to a networking event led by Professor Andrew Hahn on February 14th explaining how to maintain relationships that you develop with attorneys through events like the career weekend or different receptions that law firms may host.
