Flu season has begun!
Here’s what you need to know about symptoms, prevention, self-care, and when to seek medical support. You can get your annual vaccinations at Cornell’s flu vaccine clinics, or by going to a local pharmacy.
Got cold / flu symptoms?
Don’t ignore any symptoms that could be consistent with COVID-19. If you start to feel sick, call Cornell Health right away for guidance: 607-255-5155 (24/7). A medical provider will help assess your symptoms and advise you on next steps, which may include diagnostic testing at Cornell Health.
Student Public Health Requirements and CLS Class Attendance
Students residing in Ithaca are expected to follow the University’s student public health requirements and take personal responsibility and demonstrate COVID-19 etiquette.
If you are ill: Do not attend class, work or other social gatherings.
If you have symptoms suggestive of COVID-19, seek and perform an antigen test. If you are feeling particularly ill, contact Cornell Health at 607-255-5155.
Should you test positive for COVID-19, you must report your positive test result via Daily Check. Cornell’s Student Disability Services Office will then generate an isolation guidance letter which you must forward to the Dean of Students Office so that academic accommodations can be arranged during your isolation period. If you have any questions about this process, please email your advising office (JD & LLM: law.dos@cornell.edu; Exchange: jdexchange@cornell.edu) and not your instructors or course assistants.
If you are unable to attend class for a non-SDS reviewed illness, you must contact your instructor to note your absence. In that case, you may request access to the recordings for missed class sessions using the following link: https://support.law.cornell.edu/VideoRequest/.
