Session I: How the Legal Workplace Works
Retail service—which is an experience most people understand–is a powerful analogy for understanding the junior attorney experience. Junior attorneys, like retailers in a mall, must learn to create such a powerful product and service experience that they motivate the customer (assigning partner) to personally commit to (1) the junior attorney and (2) spreading a positive narrative about the junior attorney to other attorneys in the workplace. Like great retailers, top-performing junior attorneys must become skilled at converting episodic customers (those attorneys who assign work) to loyal and consistent customers.

Session II: Building Strong Internal Relationships
In today’s dynamic legal workplace, premium learning requires strong workplace relationships, as much of a junior attorney’s learning and integration occur in the crucible of one-on-one relationships. In this session, we will deconstruct the practical relationship building habits of associates who build strong workplace relationships (relationships worthy of loyalty) – with peers and senior attorneys. Additionally, we will examine the tools top performers use to curate strong relationships for the know-how and insights that drive career momentum.
