Being a good law student and lawyer is about much more than performing well in the classroom. It’s about being a well-rounded, self-aware, positive contributor to one’s professional and personal community. In order to take care of and provide excellent service to our clients and the public we serve, lawyers must first take care of ourselves. To do so, we encourage students to be intentional and deliberate about proactively prioritizing wellness. We don’t always get it right, but we strive for balance constantly and readjust as needed.
Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. Wellness is more than being free from illness; it is a dynamic process of pursuing activities and making lifestyle choices that lead to a state of holistic health. Wellness has 8 dimensions: emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual, physical, environmental, financial, and career. Our office provides programming and access to resources for Law Students that cover all eight dimensions.
Supporting your well-being is an important part of your success in law school. This page connects Cornell Law students with resources, programs, and services designed to support your mental, emotional, physical, and overall well-being throughout your law school experience and as part of the broader Cornell University community.

THE RESET ROOM– COMING SOON
In partnership with the Cornell Law School Library, Neurodiversity @ Cornell, and the Diversity & Inclusion Research Library, the Dean of Students Office is thrilled to launch THE RESET ROOM, a Neurodiversity Room, in Myron Taylor Hall, Room 381.
The wellbeing of neurodivergent people is crucial, and being welcomed and understood makes a big difference. To that end, we seek to destigmatize and de-medicalize neurodivergent thinking and actively craft recommendations for students to improve their interactions with people with different neurotypes—encouraging productive dialogue across differences
WHAT IS THE RESET ROOM
This Reset Room is a place where Cornell law students who are stressed or overstimulated can find respite or escape sensory overload. It’s a welcoming space for all students, especially those who identify as neurodivergent, and it gives them greater control over their sensory input.
Our hope is that the THE RESET ROOM will improve the well-being of our students, allowing them to relax, de-stress, and take a breather. The sensory soothing area has weighted lap blankets, comfortable seating, noise-canceling headphones, and dim light
HOURS AND LOCATION
Open during Fall and Spring semesters.
The Reset Room is generally open from 9 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday, Myron Taylor Hall, Room 381.
The Reset Room is closed from 11:30 am- 1:00 pm on Tuesdays, when Let’s Talk uses that space to host their sessions
