Important Public Health Reminders and Confirming In Person Exams
11 Dec 2021
Dear Law Students,
By now you have received further messaging from Provost Kotlikoff and VP of Student & Campus Life Lombardi regarding the current yellow alert status. The Law School will continue to administer in person exams as noted on the exam schedule. There has been no evidence of classroom-based transmission of COVID-19. With vaccination, surveillance testing, and face coverings required on campus, and with students distanced for exam integrity purposes, the classroom environment has not been the source of transmission.
Given current campus conditions, it is even more important that everyone consistently wears a face covering (over the nose and mouth) as required by university policy and state law as of Monday, as well as complies with regularly required surveillance testing. Keep in mind that Law School rules prohibit students from contacting faculty members directly about exams or to request deferrals. Those matters are handled by my office (law.dos@cornell.edu) and the Registrar’s Office (law.registrar@cornell.edu). If you do not feel well, stay home, call Cornell Health (607-255-5155), and then contact the Law Registrar to discuss exam deferrals. Wishing you all the best on your exams.
Stay safe and be well
